Planting & Care Instructions

  1. DO NOT TAKE THEM OUT OF THE ROCKWOOL. LEAVE THEM AS YOU RECEIVE THEM AND PLANT SO YOU CAN SEE THE TOP OF THE ROCKWOOL. DO NOT BURY IT BECAUSE THAT CAN ROTTEN THE CROWN.
  2. Choose a sunny location or hydroponic setup with 6–8 hours of daily light.
  3. Use well-draining, nutrient-rich sandy loam soil; add compost for best results.
  4. Soak plugs briefly before planting to rehydrate.
  5. Plant crowns at soil level, spacing 12–18 inches apart with 3–4 feet between rows.
  6. Water consistently to keep soil evenly moist, especially during fruiting.
  7. Remove flowers during the first year to promote root development.
  8. Expect abundant harvests of large, sweet berries in the second growing season.
