Planting & Care Instructions

  1. Soak bare roots in water for 30–60 minutes before planting.
  2. Choose a sunny spot that receives at least 6–8 hours of sunlight daily.
  3. Use well-draining, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5–6.5) enriched with compost or organic matter.
  4. Plant crowns at soil level — not too deep or exposed — and spread roots evenly.
  5. Space plants 12–18 inches apart, with 3–4 feet between rows for proper airflow.
  6. Water regularly to keep soil consistently moist but not soggy, especially during establishment.
  7. Remove flowers during the first year to encourage stronger roots and higher yields later.
  8. Expect a large, sweet harvest starting in the second season and for years to come.
