Planting & Care Instructions

  1. Soak bare roots in cool water for 30–60 minutes before planting to rehydrate.
  2. Choose a sunny location with at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
  3. Prepare well-draining soil (pH 5.5–6.5) enriched with compost or aged manure.
  4. Plant crowns at soil level — not buried and not exposed — spreading roots outward.
  5. Space plants 12–18 inches apart, with 3–4 feet between rows for airflow.
  6. Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially during establishment and dry spells.
  7. Remove blossoms in the first year to strengthen roots and foliage.
  8. Expect full fruiting and abundant harvests in the second growing season and beyond.
