Planting & Care Instructions

  1. Soak bare roots in water for 30–60 minutes before planting.
  2. Choose a sunny location that receives 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
  3. Prepare well-draining, fertile soil (pH 5.5–6.5) enriched with compost or aged manure.
  4. Plant crowns at soil level — not too deep or shallow — and spread roots evenly.
  5. Space plants 12–18 inches apart with 3–4 feet between rows for airflow.
  6. Water regularly to maintain evenly moist soil, especially during the first 4–6 weeks.
  7. Remove flowers during the first year to strengthen root growth and plant health.
  8. Enjoy early, abundant harvests starting in the second growing season.
