Planting Instructions:

Location: Choose a location that gets partial to full sun. Soft Touch Japanese Holly can tolerate some shade, but it thrives with at least 4-6 hours of sunlight per day.
Soil: Plant in well-draining, acidic to neutral soil. It prefers moist, but not waterlogged, conditions. If your soil is heavy clay, amend it with compost to improve drainage.
Spacing: For a hedge or privacy screen, space your plants 2-3 feet apart. If you’re planting as a single specimen, give it enough room to spread out to its full size.
Planting Hole: Dig a hole that’s twice as wide as the root ball, but no deeper. Gently loosen the roots of the tree and place it in the hole, ensuring that the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
Watering: After planting, water thoroughly to settle the soil around the roots. Keep the soil moist (but not soggy) for the first year as the plant establishes itself.
