SWENSON RED grapes are a popular variety of table grapes that are known for their sweet flavor and beautiful color. The grapes have a thin skin, and when fully mature, the berries have a deep purple color with a greenish-red hue. Swenson Red grapes are an excellent choice for fresh eating, as well as for making jams and jellies.

Swenson Red grapes are easy to grow and require minimal maintenance. Before planting, make sure to select an area with full sun and well-drained soil. The soil should be tested to make sure it is balanced and has a pH of between 6.0 and 7.5. Plant the grapes in the spring, spacing them 3-4 feet apart, and provide a trellis or other support structure for the vines.

Once the grapes are planted, water them regularly, making sure the soil does not dry out. Swenson Red grapes are fairly resistant to disease, but if you notice any signs of mildew, apply a fungicide to the area. During the growing season, prune the vines regularly and fertilize with a balanced fertilizer.

In the fall, the grapes will be ready to harvest. Gently twist the berries off the vine and remove any that have been damaged by pests. To ensure the grapes have a long shelf life, it is best to store them in a cool, dry place.

Growing Swenson Red grapes is a great way to enjoy fresh, delicious fruit throughout the season. With a little planning and care, you can look forward to a bountiful harvest of juicy, sweet grapes.

1. Choose a sunny spot in your yard that gets at least 8 hours of direct sunlight per day.

2. Prepare the soil by loosening it to a depth of at least 12 inches.

3. Plant the grapevines 6-10 feet apart, depending on the variety.

4. Water the plants regularly, making sure to keep the soil moist but not soggy.

5. Fertilize the plants with a balanced fertilizer once or twice a year.

6. Prune the vines regularly to ensure healthy growth and fruit production.

7. Harvest the grapes when they are ripe, usually in late summer or early fall.

By following these simple guidelines, you can enjoy a bountiful harvest of sweet, juicy grapes each year. With proper care and attention, these grapes can produce a delicious crop for many years to come.
