Welcome to Hand Picked Nursery in Benson NC
Hand Picked Nursery is a local garden center and nursery located at 233 Ennis Rd, Benson, NC 27504.
We got our start in the world of ecommerce in 2006. Since then, we have built a successful ecommerce brand. In 2021, we purchased 23-acres here in Benson North Carolina and have been building the dream ever since!
We specialize in a variety of plants and products while providing our customers with the resources to thrive in their own gardening. To this day, we continue to build and improve our vision.
In addition to our garden center, we currently have a botanical trail that also serves as a picking trail and exercise trail, along with our outdoor entertainment areas, farm animals, dog park, flower farm, and a food truck (currently only open for events)!
Our long-term vision is to continue building our agritourism dream and be an interactive and educational center rooted in agriculture for the community!

Our Garden Center & Nursery
Here locally at Hand Picked Nursery, we have six large retail greenhouses. We have thousands of plants within nearly every category you can think of including but not limited to: annuals, perennials, woody ornamentals, house plants, fruits and veggies, exotics, succulents and cacti, trees, bare root, arrangements, and so much more! Within our largest retail greenhouse, we have hundreds of products to support your gardening and home endeavors.
Nature Trail For Exercise & Produce Picking
Enjoy a walk in nature or get in a workout! We have approximately a half of a mile of trails. Our trails are lined with berry plants such as blueberries and strawberries for customers to pick, pretty perennials, exercise equipment, and water systems. Whatever you choose to visit for, enjoy the beautiful nature trails on our 23-acre property!
Animals
Come say hi to our animals and feed them a treat or give the goats a quick pet! We have goats, chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks!
Flower Picking Farm
Pick your own flowers in early spring and summer! This has been wildly popular (and beautiful) since we started in Spring 2024! Currently our flower farm is situated on about 3/4 of an acre. Our spring flower picking runs roughly from March 7th - April 15th and includes but is not limited to multiple different varieties of Tulips, Hyacinth, Daffodils, and more! Our summer flowering picking is still to be determined and will include but not be limited to sunflowers, Gladiolus, Dahlia, Crocosmia, Calla, Peony, and more!
Events, Classes, Outdoor Entertainment
Here at Hand Picked Nursery we have numerous beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces that we rent our to private parties or host various events and classes. This is also a space for you to enjoy on your own with friends and family for a day out! Excluding actual events, this is a free space to enjoy while you spend time here!
Dog Park
Bring your fluffy friend so they can have a day of play too! We offer a small dog and large dog side of our dog park for your furry friends to have a blast!
Restrooms
We now have four restrooms including a wheel chair accessible restroom!
Food Truck (Currently Open for Events Only)
The Hand Picked Nursery Food Truck is open for events only, but we hope to change that soon! We serves entrees, small bites and desserts, high quality locally sourced coffee/lattes and gelato, beverages, and more!
